Broadcasting to Patients in Reading's Hospitals Since 1957

Reading born and bred, Stephen joined HRR in 1996 and has been an active member ever since. After two years as Fund-raising Co-ordinator, he has been the station’s Programme Controller for over twelve years. This role involves training presenters to use the studio equipment, providing general programming advice and producing the weekly programme schedule for the station.

Stephen’s first love is country music, which he features every week in his Sunday morning show, along with the latest country music news, new tunes & classic hits and a countdown of the US Country Chart. You can also often hear him on the Friday Late Show, a laid back programme with a soft and easy mix of music and he takes his turn on our Saturday afternoon presenters’ rota – when he’s not watching Reading FC or London Irish at the Madejski stadium.

When not on HRR  Stephen is a keen follower of the Royals and other sport and enjoys foreign holidays in France, Spain and the USA
